God’s Word is the source of the Christian faith. We hear and use God’s Word throughout worship. We also offer many other opportunities to study God’s Word.
Thursday Bible Study
We gather together at 11 a.m. on Thursdays to dive into God’s Word. Whether it’s based on a particular book of the Bible, aspects of our everyday life, or even Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, we engage in thoughtful, lively, and life changing discussions about God’s promises found in the Bible.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Sunday School isn’t just for kids! Adults also gather during the Sunday School time for “Shape the Sermon” a lively conversation that digs into the Bible passages which are assigned for the coming Sunday. What’s the good news in these passages? What’s not such good news? What is God doing in this passage? What does it mean for us in our lives today? These are the sort of questions we use to open up God’s Word and even influence next week’s sermon!
Ladies Bible Study
How does God’s Word apply to our lives now? This is one of the many questions that we ask during the Ladies’ Bible study that meets on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Our Savior’s. All ladies are welcome to join us for Bible study.
The ladies choose a book from the Bible and read the chapters. We discuss the content by asking and answering questions. We search using a study guide and footnotes when necessary. We encourage each other through sharing stories and concerns as the Bible applies to our personal lives. And, there is always time for laughter!
