In the next few weeks, there will be a Gingerbread House bulletin board display in the Narthex where you can select a person to support this Christmas.
OUR SAVIOR’S RESPONDS TO THE
GREATER WEST BEND COMMUNITY’S NEEDS
THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE– sponsored by The Youth and Family Project of Washington County provides holiday support to many Washington County families who would otherwise have none. This year Linda White, event coordinator, is estimating that they will be serving over 600 families.
Our faith community recognizes it’s all about “God’s Work. Our Hands” because for the past five years during November and part of December the Narthex becomes a haven of brilliantly wrapped presents of all shapes as sizes. Through your generosity, some very basic needs of families are met as well as a few special surprises given.
Maybe your family would like to support a person or part of a family. Perhaps you and a friend would like to play secret Santa and sponsor a person together. Look for the Gingerbread House display on a bulletin board in the Narthex and follow the instructions on the sign-up board.
With hearts filled with expectation and joy, we are called to share Jesus’ love with others.
All gifts must be brought to the church by Sunday 12/3
If you were unable to pick a name from the Gingerbread House, but would still like to help families this Christmas season Mrs. Clause suggests the following items. You can bring items in, unwrapped and place your donation in the big gift box located in the Narthex.
