Sherie Kruse received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She was commissioned an Associate in Ministry of the ELCA on Epiphany, January 6, 2008.
As Education Ministry Assistant, her ministry has her reaching out to lots of people of all ages. Her office is never clutter free. There’s always a box or two on the floor, filled with interesting items for the next ministry event she’s planning; whether it’s thousands of filled plastic eggs for the annual Easter Egg Hunt or props to be used for teaching a class about one of our faith ancestors. For Sherie one of the greatest joys of her ministry is helping others experience Jesus’s love and grace and helping them share Jesus’s love with others.
Sherie and her husband Jack have two married children and three wonderful grandchildren. They also have two cuddly cats, Theo and Callie K. Kitten. One of Sherie’s favorite pastimes is being in the kitchen baking or preparing a meal for family and friends. She also likes to read and to crotchet, a skill passed down to her from her grandma.
