Take a self-guided tour and explore the Visitor Center and learn about LaClare Family
Creamery and Saxon Creamery cheeses and the cheesemaking operations. You’ll take a
behind-the-scenes look at the cheesemaking process, from the viewing windows. They
make over 15 different cheeses on-site!
You can head outside to visit the goat silo, a fun new way to meet the new baby goats.
Next, make your way over to the barn to see the 700 doelings that are onsite…you may see
a donkey or llama in the pens too! They also have some resident chickens in the barn.
Afterward, eat lunch at the Café. Enjoy a delicious sandwich or salad featuring their
cheeses and maybe some goat milk or cow milk ice cream!! If the weather is nice you can
eat outside on their expanded patio. Then do some shopping in the Cheese shop. I would
suggest taking along a little cooler to keep your purchases cold till you get home!!!
On the way home, we will stop at the Ziegler Winery which is only 5 minutes away. Relax
and try a little wine tasting before you head home.

Meet at church at 9:00 to carpool
It takes approximately 50 minutes to get to LeClare.
The winery opens at 12:00 so LeClare’s self-guided tour, lunch, and shopping will take place first,
then head over to Ziegler Winery and learn about their wines.
Cost – just your lunch, gift shop purchases, and wine purchases!
